Before the 2008 fall season started the WWCC Men's Mustang Soccer set a goal of every player achieving a Grade Point Average of 3.0 (B average) or higher for the fall semester. The following players did achieve a 3.0 GPA for the fall 2008 semester with at least 12 credit hours.

#7 - Allen Deru - Sophomore
#11 - Jeff Jewell - Freshman
#17 - Cameron Lowry - Freshman
#21 - Nic Gonzalez - Sophomore
#88 - Shawn Coryell - Sophomore
Congratulations to all the above players, their names will be submitted for all-region, all-conference, all-district and all-American academic recognition. These awards not only deal with semester GPA but also with cumulative GPA and total credit hours.
We also had a handful of players that were decimal points away from a 3.0 and we want to congratulate them with their achievements and encourage them to continue to do well in the academic realm.
