In NJCAA soccer, an overtime is played which consists of two 10 minute periods and a sudden victory rule, meaning first team to score wins. The first 10 minutes of overtime both teams had some chances at their opposition's net but the Cougars had better chances. Thanks to a hard working defense for the Mustangs and some timely saves from Luis Trevisan no goals were scored in the first overtime. In the second overtime the Mustangs took more control of the match and had some great chances to score including some near misses. In the 108th minute a ball was sent to Andrew Newbold who collected it in the offensive third and sent it to a sprinting Devin King. King beat the keeper to the ball and had the game winning goal for the Mustangs with 2:05 left before the teams would have tied.
