WWCC Mustangs score 2nd win of the young season

On Wednesday in Rock Springs WY the WWCC Mustangs squared off against their newest Region IX rival the Plainsmen of Northeast Junior College of Sterling CO. This was the first ever meeting between these 2 teams. The Mustangs dominated the run of play in the 1st half and possession of the ball. WWCC peppered the goal of the Plainsmen in the first 45 minutes, WWCC out shot NJC 16 - 1 in the first half. The only goal of the 1st half came when Jarom Stuart feed Taylor Egbert a nice ball and Taylor beat the NJC keeper, WWCC took the lead in the 20th minute. The score at the end of the half was WWCC 1 - NJC 0.
The second half was much more even in possesion and shots, however it was apparent that WWCC had more talent and outclassed NJC in most aspects on the field. WWCC added 2 goals for insurance in the 71st minute by Devin King, assisted by Taylor Egbert and in the 78th minute by Taylor Egbert, assisted by Andrew Newbold. NJC did fight throughout the match and added a goal in the 88th minute. The win brings WWCC's record to 2 - 1 - 0 with the same record in Region IX play.

Mustang Man of the Match: Taylor Egbert - Taylor had 5 offensive points on the day. He scored 2 goals and an assist. Taylor was a part of all 3 WWCC goals.
