The second half saw more action and chances at each goal. WNCC scored their second goal in the 69th minute when the ball was crossed in front of the WWCC goal and it was kicked in by one of the Cougars. The Mustangs evened the score back up at 2 - 2 in the 75th minute. The Mustang scoring play started with a great pass to Angel Muniz who set up Jarom Stuart with a shot. The Stuart shot was blocked by the WNCC keeper and the rebound of the shot was out into the net by Steven Shelley. The tie was not long lived as WNCC scored off of a long shot, of around 25 yards, in the 78th minute. The Mustangs put pressure on the WNCC back line and keeper in the last 12 minutes but could not find their third and tying goal of the match. The final score was Cougars 3 - Mustangs 2. The loss puts the WWCC record at 10 wins, 8 losses and 0 ties for the regular season. The 1st round of the Region IX tournament is next for the Mustangs. They will be hosting Western Nebraska CC on Wednesday 10/19 at 4pm in Rock Springs.

Mustang Man of the Match: Taylor Chesnovar - Taylor played both a midfielder and a defender. He filled in where the team needed him and play very hard even when he was tired.
