In the second half the Mustangs found more of the ball and possession which translated into more scoring opportunities. However on a well timed counter attack the Trappers brought the ball up the left flank and crossed it into an open man in the middle of the field who was able to beat Mitch Jensen the Mustang keeper for the lone goal of the match. There was still plenty of time on the clock for WWCC to find a game tying goal but the offense just seemed to be a split second wrong in their runs and shots. Lots of chances but no goals. The loss brings the Mustangs to a 14 - 9 - 1 record. The loss ensures the Mustangs that they will head into Nationals with a seed lower than that of their Region IX rivals Northwest College. As a second place finisher in the District Tournament we are anticipating a 9 - 12 seed for the tournament,
