Devian Kurete a 2013 graduate from Evanston High School is Evanston Wyoming has recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY. Devian is a forward who will be counted on to replace the high powered offense from the 2012 version on the Mustangs. The Mustangs offense was ranked 9th in the NJCAA for goals and 11th for assists for a top ten overall offense for the NJCAA during the 2012 season. Devian is a two time 1st team All 4A West Region Player. He was also recently named to the 4A Wyoming 1st team as a forward. Kurete was the Evanston's first All State Player since Josh Cox in 2004, Josh also played at WWCC and currently coaches at Evanston High. Devian was the second leading scorer in the 4A for Wyoming at the end of the regular season. Devian also had near double digits in assists. Devian is a good sized young man that also possess good speed. We could use Devian as the target forward but he has enough speed and skill that he could also be used as our forward off of the ball. We expect a lot from Devian in the classroom and also on the pitch. Congrats to Devian for signing, graduating and having an awesome high school career. The future looks bright for this young man in the Red, White and Black of the Western Wyoming Mustangs.
