Smith also played for Arsenal Soccer Club were again team success and individual accolades followed Braden. Arsenal and Braden were runners-up in the 2011 State Cup and quarter finalists in 2010 and 2012. Braden was his club team captain for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Besides being a great soccer player Braden is also a wonderful person and student off of the pitch. He was a member of the LHS Cross Country team, a USSF Referee, an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the Hope of America Award in 2007. Braden's bring to WWCC a great GPA and work habits which will help the Mustangs achieve their goal of having the highest NJCAA Men's Soccer GPA in the nation. Braden is currently serving an LDS mission in the Tegucigalpa, Honduras Mission and will return stateside in the summer of 2015.
We at Western Wyoming believe that Smith can add depth, experience, maturity and toughness to a team that should return a lot of sophomore players. We think that Braden can push for a starting position as a center back and could also be useful as an outside back or even a center defensive mid. We are very excited to announce our first signee of the recruiting class of 2015. For a video highlight of Braden's skills please click here.
