All the scoring occurred in the first half. The Alumni struck first when Ty Nielsen (2016) hit a 30 yard free kick past the WWCC goal keeper Joe Venhaus. The Alumni lead was short lived as Colby Hendrickson scored off of a Colton Harrison assist. Shortly after the scrimmage was tied Josh Abplanalp was fouled on two separate occasions in the penalty area and the WWCC team received a penalty kick. Jesse Lopez scored the first penalty kick goal and Carlos Gonzalez scored the second penalty kick goal for the WWCC team. The final goal of the scrimmage was again from the WWCC team as Jesse Lopez assisted on a Josh Abplanalp goal. The final score for the 2017 Alumni scrimmage was 4 to 1 in favor of the current WWCC team.
Sophomores who started their second campaign for the Mustangs were; Josh Abplanalp, Mike Wolken, Zac Roper, Briston Lowell, Carlos Gonzalez, Camen Gray, Matthew Ochoa and Danny Becerra.
Freshmen who put on the Red, White and Black for the first time for the Mustangs were; Joe Venhaus, Karson Liddell, Gary Lopez, Jesse Lopez, Javier Arvayo, Kenyon Comstock, Jack Stout, Delaney Seilbach, Ramon Aparicio, Colby Hendrickson, Kamden Carroll, Colton Harrison and Daniel Pelayo.
The Alumni who came back to WWCC to play were; Tanner Trumble, Tyler Trumble, Phil Angerhoffer, Kyle Seljaas, Kasey Elizondo, Jairo Raizo, Ty Nielsen, Chad Allgaeir, McKay Rodabough, Nate Cutler, Kortny Lancaster, Gilbert Gonzalez, Piero Levano, Adam Stocks, Kota Freeland, Alan Wendlandt, Taylor Chesnovar and Trevor Rogers.
