Southern Nevada Eclipses WWCC in Scrimmage

 On Monday the 2017 Mustangs had a scrimmage against the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes in Price UT.

CSN was a participant in the NJCAA National Tournament last season and has a preseason ranking of #16 in the NJCAA polls.

CSN was the only team to find the back of the net in the first half, netting a goal in the 15th minute.  WWCC continued to struggle with quick counters down the middle of the pitch and organized set pieces throughout this scrimmage.

After the halftime break the Mustangs found some life and evened the score at 1 goal a piece when Josh Abplanalp put pressure on the CSN keeper and created a mistake which led to an easy goal for him.  The Coyotes fired back with goals in the 63rd and 64th minutes.  Kade Moeller brought the Mustangs back closer in the 67th minute when he scored off of a Ramon Aparicio assist.  With the Mustangs down 3 - 2 they made a tactical change in the final 20 minutes and tried to find a tying goal.  The risk did not pay off as CSN found ways to counter and scored two goals in the final 14 minutes to bring the final total to CSN 5 and WWCC 2.
