Bruins too much for Mustangs

On Friday in Salt Lake City the Western Wyoming soccer team played against the Bruins of Salt Lake Community College. SLCC scored first in the match in the 18th minute when they had a corner kick and the ball found its way through the box and to a SLCC player on the back post who put the ball away. WWCC had some decent looks in the remainder of the first way including a penalty kick but they could not find the goal. The score at half time was SLCC 1 - WWCC 0.

The second half saw the Bruins take control of the match in the 60th minute with their second goal off of a bending shot from 20 yards out. SLCC added 2 more goals in the match in the 75th and 77th minute both after WWCC defensive breakdowns and shot their goals from within 12 yards of the goal. WWCC got on the board in the 85th minute when Gilbert Gonzalez received a crossed ball from Nathaniel Sellis. Gonzalez shot the ball low to the bottom left corner and beat the SLCC keeper. The final score stood at SLCC 4 - WWCC 1. Once again it seemed like WWCC played better than the scoreboard indicated.
