Rattlers Beat Mustangs in Colorado

On Wednesday in La Junta Colorado the Otero Rattlers and the Western Wyoming Mustangs played for the first time as Region IX opponents and the first time in their college's history.
The rain poured down in La Junta as the match was played at night. Otero only took 5 minutes to get on the scoreboard when they scored off of communication error from the Mustang back line. The Rattlers scored 3 more goals in the first half. Otero's goals were scored in the 11th, 26th and 35th minute for a commanding 4 - 0 lead at the half.

The Mustangs would regroup a little in the second half and played much better. WWCC got on the board in the 55th minute when Miguel Maca kicked a free kick and was saved by the Rattler keeper but was rebounded to Braxton Hamilton who put the ball in the goal for the Mustang lone goal. Otero scored one more time in the match when they sent a through ball up the middle and beat both the Mustang defense and keeper. The final tally was 5 - 1 in favor of the Otero Rattlers.

Workhorse of the Match - Jorge Chacon, Jorge played a good match got his first yellow card of the season (one of the weakest calls in history from an official, but his first yellow card)
