Gooding Idaho and Gooding High is sending Western Wyoming it's third senior soccer player in the last two years. Carlos Gonzalez is the third Gooding Senator to transition to the Red and Black of the Western Wyoming Mustangs. Carlos is a goal keeper and minded the nets for Gooding High during their back to back State Championships in 2012 and 2013. Carlos is shown in the picture to the left (#50 - yellow keeper jersey) with the Idaho 3A State Championship trophy. Carlos was instrumental in both state runs including blocking kicks in the shootout during his senior season. Carlos had a great tryout at Western Wyoming showing his athletic ability as a keeper. Gonzalez has quick reactions and great leaping skills. We expect a great career for Carlos at Western as we are retooling our keeping position and rotation. Carlos has a chance to work hard and earn a starting keeper spot as a freshman, along with the other two freshmen keepers Austin Pinter and Kyle Mivshek.
