From the Islands to Western Wyoming - Jake Samsel a Mustang

Jake Samsel a 2014 graduate from Kahuku High in Kahuku Hawaii has recently committed to play Men's Soccer at Western Wyoming Community College.

Jake is an attacking player who will bring some offensive punch to the Mustang attack.  Samsel has the versatility to play as a forward, and outside midfielder and an attacking midfield.

Jake lived in Utah throughout much of his childhood and played club soccer while in the Beehive state.  The Samsel family moved to Hawaii where Jake finished his high school career with the Kahuku Red Raiders.

At KHS Jake excelled on the soccer pitch and as the field goal kicker for the KHS Red Raiders Football team.  The KHS football team was nationally ranked and were state champions during Jake tenure.

Jake was a member of the Hawaii 1st Team All State Soccer Teams during his junior and his senior year.  His size, speed and big legs will help him to adjust to playing NJCAA soccer and getting used to the high desert elevation and climate of Rock Springs.  We expect a lot from Jake as soon as he steps onto campus.  He will compete for a starting position and playing time due to his work ethic and great physical skills.
