The National Junior College Athletic Association released today their NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. We are very proud to announce that the WWCC Men's Soccer team was ranked as the 6th best NJCAA Academic Team of the past school year. The WWCC Men's team set this as one of their goals for the season and we are super excited that we accomplished this goal. This is the first such honor for the Mustang Men's Soccer team. A team must have an overall GPA above 3.0 to be nominated for this award. The WWCC Men's Soccer team had their highest GPA ever at 3.03, just enough to get nominated. Not only is this WWCC Men's Soccer first award but it is the first of these awards to any Men's Soccer team in Region IX. We hope to make this an annual tradition for the Men's Soccer team and will try to compete for the National Academic title in the years to come.
