DJ Searcy back for the Mustangs

DJ Searcy a soon to be sophomore and a graduate from Westlake High will again wear the White, Red and Black of the WWCC Mustangs for his sophomore year.  DJ had a very solid freshman year for the Mustangs including 21 shots and 3 goals.  DJ was primarily used as an outside mid and played very well adapting to a position that was new to him.  DJ played both matches at the NJCAA National Tournament in Albany GA.  DJ started just 3 matches as a freshman but played in 41 halves.  We expect more starts and goals out of DJ his sophomore year.  He has shown great improvement this spring as well as continually excelling in the classroom.  DJ has been asked to represent his teammates as a practice captain this spring.  He is a good example to his teammates with his unselfish play and his hard work.  For his sophomore season this fall, we see DJ as a forward, a center attacking midfielder or even back to an outside midfielder.  We hope his technical ability in front of goal helps him to find the back of the net many times during his sophomore season.
