In the first scrimmage the Mustangs were
Nathan Cutler, Cody Nice and Taylor Chesnovar
the first to get on the score board when they scored two goals before the first 45 minutes were expired.  The defense kept the Bengals off of the scoreboard in the first half and took a 2 - 0 halftime lead. The second half had 6 goals.  The first to the Bengals shortly after the halftime when an errand pass was intercepted from the WWCC defense and was converted into a nice 30 yard shot for the Bengals.  The Mustangs answered back quickly and made sure that the ISU team would not try to make a run at the match.  The Mustangs scored the next 4 goals.  Idaho State scored off of a long free kick near the end of
the match.  The final score was 6 - 2 in favor of WWCC.  Goals were scored by DJ Searcy, Bernard Manuel (Bernie had a hat trick), Taylor Egbert and Richard Harris.  Assists were provided by Bernie Manuel, Richard Harris, Steven Shelley, Taylor Chesnovar and Phillip Angerhofer.

The second scrimmage match of the day against ISU and WWCC mirrored the first scrimmage.  With WWCC dominating play, passing, possession and shots.  Again the Mustangs were able to score first and again led the scrimmage 2 - 0 at the half time break.  One difference from the first scrimmage is the defense did not allow any goals in this scrimmage's second half.  The offense continued to roll and scored three goals in the half.  The final score for the second scrimmage was 5 - 0 for WWCC.  Goals in this second scrimmage were scored by Bernie Manuel, Taylor Egbert, Richard Harris, Ashenafi Negeri and Brandon Bushman.  The assists were by DJ Searcy, Bernie Manuel, Richard Harris, Adrian Sanchez and Brandon Bushman.  Both keepers for the spring Mustangs played and split the shutout - Taylor West and Gus Wagner.  This was the first shutout in WWCC spring history.  Besides Gus Wagner, Adrian Montano and Alejandro Bermudez all saw their first action as a WWCC Mustang,

The Mustangs will continue to train this spring and brave the wild Wyoming spring weather.  They have one more date of scrimmages planned.  The team will travel down to Provo UT to play a scrimmage at 10:45 am against the Utah FC Men's team.  The team will rest and re-group to play the BYU Men's team at 5:00pm.  BYU is a member of the USL Semi-Pro league.  It should be quit a test for the NJCAA Mustangs.
