Raul Cavazos Signed for Western

Raul Cavazos a just graduated senior from Hunter High has recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the 2013 version of the Western Wyoming Mustangs.  Raul is a midfielder who has a lot of attacking skills.  Raul is naturally a left footed player but his right is also very impressive.  Cavazos was a captain for his high school squad this season as Hunter High had one of their best seasons in years.  Hunter High boasted of a 13 - 3 - 1 overall record for the season.  They also won the 5A Region 2 regular season crown.  Hunter High advanced to the Quarter Final round of the 5A Utah High School Tournament losing to Copper Hills High.
In the 2013 High School season Raul scored 8 goals from the midfield.  The 8 goals had him ranked in the top 20 goal scorers for the 5A state of Utah, one of the highest totals from a midfielder in the state.
Recently Raul was named to the Deseret News 5A Honorable Mention All State team.  A well deserved honor for this hard working young man.
At Western Wyoming we can see Raul playing any of the attacking roles in the midfield for the Mustangs.  Whether it be attacking midfielder, left or right midfielder.  Raul impressed us during his tryout with his ability to keep possession, his great touch with both feet, his quick crosses and his nose for the goal.  We expect him to hit the field at WWCC and compete for playing time and a spot in the starting lineup.  We are excited to have this fine young man and player on board.
