Federico "Rico" Mendez a graduate from Gooding High School in Gooding Idaho has signed his National Letter of Intent to play men's soccer at Western Wyoming Community College.  Rico is a very skillful, fast and talented forward.  We at WWCC also believe that he could play one our attacking midfield positions also.  Rico is a one of the most sought after recruits from Idaho.

Rico was a 4 time selection for All Conference.  Was the athlete of the year 4 times his senior year.  Rico was also named the Athlete of the Year his senior season.  Rico and his GHS teammates made it to the state tournament all 4 years in his career.  Even more amazingly he and GHS were state champs twice in his career including the fall 2012 season.
During his senior season Rico scored 37 goals and too many assists for his high school coaches to tally.  Western is so excited to add this talented young man to an attack that consistently is ranked high in Region IX and NJCAA.  Congrats to Rico and our expectations for him and his new Mustang teammates are very high.
