This scrimmage was not arranged until Wednesday after the Waldorf JV team assured Western that they would not have enough JV players clear NAIA eligibility for the scheduled match between Waldorf JV and Western Wyoming. We are super appreciative for Anoka Ramsey for being willing to host Western on short notice and the scrimmage allowed all Mustangs get good playing time as the starters got around 35 minutes and the reserve players got around 55 minutes. Carlos Gonzalez started for the Mustangs in as keeper and Austin Pinter played as keeper in the second half for the Mustangs.

At half time the Western Mustangs regrouped and had a great plan to get back in the match. Western gave Anoka Ramsey a dose of their own medicine when WWCC scored a header goal from Alan Wendlandt in the 49th minute. The play of the Mustangs was much better in the second half and the Mustangs again cut into the big Golden Ram lead when Riley Gibson was fouled in the penalty box. Gibson kicked the penalty kick and scored the 2nd goal of the match for the Mustangs in the 81st minute. Western could only muster a few more shots in the last 9 minutes of the match. The end of the scrimmage score was 2 - 4 in favor of the host Anoka Ramsey CC.
Mustang Man of the Match; Alan Wendlandt, Alan scored the first WWCC goal. He played very well as an attacking center mid and sparked the Mustangs to play better.
