Kyle will wear #21 for the Mustangs and has the versatility to either play basically anywhere on the pitch. For the majority of his senior year Kyle was asked by his team to play as a center back, and he did so very well. As the 2015 spring season progressed for Green River High he was called upon to provide some offensive punch and was a starting striker for the Wolves.
We were impressed but not just the versatility of Kyle but also his skill and toughness. Goglio was a 2014 4A All Conference Defender as a junior and has recently voted an 2015 4A West All Conference Defender and a 2015 4A Wyoming All State Player.
The GRHS team that Kyle has been a part of qualified for the state tournament three of the four year that he was in high school. The Wolves brought home a 3rd place trophy from the 4A Wyoming State Cup in 2012 and again in 2014. The 2015 season just ended with GRHS losing in the consolation finals.
Kyle has good speed, quick feet and a good size for college soccer. Most likely his easiest attributes to see on the soccer field are his ability to win headers, both offensively and defensively, and his long throw-ins. Both of these skills were on display as the Wolves dismantled Natrona County High at the WY State Soccer Cup less then a week ago during a 4 - 1 win for GRHS. Kyle scored 5 goals and 10 assists for his high school team this season. The 10 assists were the second most in 4A Wyoming Boy's Soccer.
Kyle will be a fierce competitor for the Mustangs and will show the same tenacity and enthusiasm in the classroom as the WWCC soccer team will again strive to earn high marks on their ways to degrees in their two years at Western Wyoming. Congrats Kyle and we cannot wait to see you in the Red and Black for the Mustangs.
