Landon Jacobsen has signed his National Letter of Intent to complete his NJCAA career in a Western Wyoming Community College Mustang Soccer jersey. Landon had a good freshman year that was not as productive as he hoped due to an ankle injury that occurred in August.
The 2015 spring season was a view into the future of the potential for the 2015-2016 Mustangs and the midfield prowess of Jacobsen. Landon was the spark in the middle that saw the Mustangs continually improve and show dominance at the end of the spring when they scrimmaged SLCC and University of Utah. In the spring Landon had 3 goals in the 5 scrimmage matches.
As a freshman in the fall of 2014 Landon had 12 Shots, 1 Goal, 2 Assists, 16 Fouls, 13 Starts and 34 Halves Played. Landon did suffer a significant ankle injury in the first match of the season and was sideline for weeks and did not fully recover until the off season.
We expect a lot out of Landon during his sophomore season not only as a player but as a leader and a student. Landon will be that calm on the ball attacking presence in the midfield. He will help us to keep possession but also uses possession to find opportunities to attack and to score. We firmly believe that Landon is an All-region type player and hope he stays injury free to show our opponents how good he can be.
