Briston is an attacking player who usually plays as a striker. He came to the WWCC campus for a tryout at the end of January. He impressed not only the coaches but also the returning Mustangs with his physicality and rocket of a left foot even though his game and skills will translate more to the outside full field soccer instead of futsal indoor soccer.
Lowell and the Middleton Vikings had a great fall 2014 season. Briston and MHS played very well in the 2014 4A Idaho State Championships being the runners-up losing the championship game in penalty shootout. During the said 2014 season, Briston's senior year, he was named the 4A All Conference Co-Player of the Year. He was awarded the Golden Boot (most goals scored) for his High School both his junior and season year. In his high school career Briston scored 47 varsity goals.
Besides from being a part of a successful MHS Vikings soccer team, Briston also played for the Boise Nationals a very well renowned club team in the West Region.
