Briston Lowell 1st Signee for 2016

Briston Lowell a 2015 graduate from Middleton High in Middleton Idaho signed his National Letter of Intent on Tuesday March 8th to play Men's Soccer at Western Wyoming Community College.

Briston is an attacking player who usually plays as a striker.  He came to the WWCC campus for a tryout at the end of January.  He impressed not only the coaches but also the returning Mustangs with his physicality and rocket of a left foot even though his game and skills will translate more to the outside full field soccer instead of futsal indoor soccer.

Lowell and the Middleton Vikings had a great fall 2014 season.  Briston and MHS played very well in the 2014 4A Idaho State Championships being the runners-up losing the championship game in penalty shootout.  During the said 2014 season, Briston's senior year, he was named the 4A All Conference Co-Player of the Year.  He was awarded the Golden Boot (most goals scored) for his High School both his junior and season year.  In his high school career Briston scored 47 varsity goals.

Besides from being a part of a successful MHS Vikings soccer team, Briston also played for the Boise Nationals a very well renowned club team in the West Region.

We at Western really believe that Briston has the skills to succeed at the NJCAA level.  We expect him to come into the fall 2016 camp and look to establish himself and abilities to push for playing time and for even a starting role.  Briston will need to help reload for the Mustangs who are graduating their three top forwards; Jose Rincon (1st Team All Region), Jesse Cardenas (1st Team All Region) and Riley Gibson (2nd Team All Region).  Welcome to the Stampede Briston!  Plenty of hope for future triumphs and goals wear the Mustang jersey.
