Brett Thatcher a recent graduate from Cedar High in Cedar City Utah has committed to play his college soccer at Western Wyoming Community College Soccer in Rock Springs WY.
Brett Thatcher was a 4 year letter winner for the Redmen of CHS. The last couple of years Brett has played on the back line. Western eyes Thatcher as a possible center back or an outside back for the Mustangs this fall season. Thatcher is a strong player who could easily transition into the midfield if needed by the Mustangs.
Brett was a captain for his high school team during his senior year. The CHS soccer team made the 3A Utah State Tournament three times while Thatcher played for them. His freshman year the Redmen lost in the quarterfinal round, his senior year the season ended in the first round of the playoffs. His sophomore year (2014) Brett and CHS made it to the 3A State Championship match and were runners up that season.
Brett and his team's were three times crowned SUSA Champions. Thatcher has played four years for the Southern Utah O.D.P. Soccer is a lifelong passion for Brett as he has been playing the sport since the age of 3.
We are so happy to have another quality player, person and student on our roster. We know that this coming fall and the fall to come will be a great ones for Brett and the Mustangs. Good luck to Brett as you wear and represent Western Wyoming in the Red, Black and White.
