On Thursday in Ontario OR the Mustangs played against the Chukars of Treasure Valley Community College in a scrimmage. Western found themselves playing well and possessing the ball but made a mistake in their defensive half that resulted in a TVCC goal. The half time lead was 1 - 0 for TVCC. In the second half Western found their offense and continued to send balls into the box and shots toward the goal. The lone WWCC goal was scored by Victor Gonzalez after he put pressure on the TVCC keeper and stole the ball before kicking it in. Unfortunately TVCC found a second goal for themselves against the run of play and won the scrimmage 1 - 2.
Mustang Man of the Match: Braden Smith - Braden played well both as centerback and center defensive mid before suffering a knee injury which will keep him out of action for a week or so.

On Friday for their last scrimmage of the 2016 fall season Western squared off against the Warriors from Walla Walla Community College on a neutral site at Pendleton OR. This was a great match up for Western as they need to get used to playing 2 road matches on back to back days. Walla Walla came out strong but Western battled back to regain possession and control in the 1st half but then the Warriors scored off of a header late in the 1st half to take a 1 - 0 halftime lead. Again Western played better in the second half but could not find consistent offense and conceded another headed goal in the second half, losing the last scrimmage of the 2016 season 0 - 2.
Mustang Man of the Match: Tanner Trumble - Tanner stepped into the role of a centerback today to fill-in for Braden Smith. Tanner played very well.
