Western falls back to reality versus Snow

After playing one of their best matches of the 2016 season on Tuesday in Green River against a very talented SLCC team the Mustangs did not show the same fight and grit on Friday against the visiting Snow College Badgers.

Kyle Mivshek and the WWCC defense continued their shutout streak by not allowing Snow to get on the board in the first half.  However Western could not find their offense or counter attacks during the first half.

Patience and more possession were the keys for the Mustangs in the second half but the Badgers also upped their pressure on WWCC.  No luck was had for Western as the Badgers broke open the match with goals in the 53rd and 64th minutes.  Trevor Rogers got some game time as a keeper in the last twenty minutes and had a couple of saves but also allowed a goal.  The final score was 3 - 0 in favor of the Snow College Badgers.  The loss drops the Mustang record to 3 - 2 - 1.

Mustang Man of the Match: Danny Becerra for continued great play and cementing himself as the starting left back for the Mustangs.
