On the last day of the regular season the WWCC Mustangs faced their most bitter rival the LCCC Golden Eagles. Neither team had much to play for as both had already secured their spots in the Region IX North.
The first half of play was a little uninspired from both teams as they both seemed to be going through the motions. The score after 45 minutes was 0 to 0.
In the second half the LCCC offense found rhythm and scored three goals. The goals came in the 54th, 68th and 69th minute. Kyle Mivhsek was the starting keeper for the Mustangs but Trevor Rogers also saw action in the second half. The loss of 3 to 0 to LCCC brings the WWCC 2016 regular season record to 8 - 8 - 2. And the Region IX North record to 5 - 2 - 1.
Mustang Man of the Match: Braden Smith - being a force to be reckoned with in the midfield and coming back on the field after a long layoff from injury.
