Davis High Sends WWCC Karson Liddell

Karson Liddell from Kaysville Utah and a soon to be 2017 Davis High graduate has signed his National Letter of Intent to play NJCAA soccer in Rock Springs WY at Western Wyoming Community College.

Karson came to the Western Wyoming campus for a tour and a tryout in the fall of 2016.  He impressed the coaching staff and current players with his physical presence on the field and his immediate impact to the attacking team due to his height.  Karson is six foot six inches tall and plays as a center back.

Liddell plays for Davis High, a 5A school with a rich soccer history in Utah.  Currently the Darts are 2 and 1 in Region play including a recent shutout win over the reigning 5A State Champions Viewmont.

Karson also plays for Forza in club soccer.  His coach for Forza Josh Mountain had this to say about Karson, "He reads the game very intelligently, able to dictate instructions to players around him in line with what adjustments need to be made in the flow of the game... he positions himself in relation to the ball and its movement across the field.  Karson was voted captain by his team mates this season, which speaks volumes about the respect others have for him, there was no better role model to lead our team and to deliver instructions to from the sidelines to influence the game."

Western believes that Karson will mesh very well with the returning Mustang defenders to give WWCC a strong back line that will continue to set the tone and the standard for Region IX North soccer.  A big Mustang soccer welcome to Karson and well wishes for the next two years as he strives to meet his goals as a student, player and person while attending Western Wyoming Community College.
