On Wednesday in Pasco Washington the WWCC Men's soccer team had a scrimmage game against the Columbia Basin College Hawks. The Hawks jumped out to an early two to zero lead in the match and maintained the lead for the rest of the first half. The second half saw the Mustangs score their first goal of the season on a penalty kick from Ricardo Arreola. The Mustangs were unable to get any closer than the 2 to one score scoreline and the Hawks added two more goals to win the scrimmage game four to one. Overall the play of the Mustangs was a little slow and not within the team concept but the team learned from their mistakes. Workhorse of the match - Omar Jaimes
On Thursday in Walla Walla, the Mustangs had another scrimmage against the Warriors of Walla Walla Community College. Of the two teams in Washington that they scrimmaged the Walla Walla team was the better of the two. The Western Wyoming team played exceptionally well playing most of the game with only two true defenders. Both teams were scoreless at the half. A few unlucky bounces in this very physical game saw the Warriors find the back of the net in the second half for the games lone goal. The offense for the Mustangs just was not able to create enough chance to find the equalizer. Workhorse of the match - Cameron Lowry.
