On Tuesday in Salt Lake City UT, the WWCC Mustangs played a match against the University of Utah Club team. It was a high paced, physical match that saw the Utes score the lone goal in the first half off of a great long distance shot. Early on in the second half the Mustangs lucked out with an equalizing goal. The WWCC goal was actually an own goal from the Utes as their defender headed the ball back to their keeper but the ball found its way to the back of the net. It was a one to one match until the Utes put in their second goal off of a ricochet after a corner kick. With a short time left in the game, the Mustangs changed formations to try to find the tying goal. Credit goes to the Utes as they were able to counter attack the short sided WWCC back line and scored two goals in the final seven minutes. The final score was WWCC 1 - Utah 4. Shawn Coryell played the whole 90 minutes in goal and had a near record game for saves.
Overall Record - 7 - 6 - 0
