WWCC Offense Explodes versus CWC

On Saturday versus Central Wyoming College in Rock Springs the WWCC Mustang's offense exploded for eight goals against the Rustlers. The scoring came quick and in bunches in the first half. Braxton Hamilton started the scoring off in the 2nd minute when he found a rebound in the box and beat the CWC keeper. The goals kept coming for the Mustangs as Brandon Bushman scored in the 7th minute on a Joe Lake assist. It took WWCC another twenty minutes before they scored again, when Taylor Ford notched a score of his right foot from an Erick Mata assist. The 33rd minute saw Brandon Bushman get his second goal of the match off of another Joe Lake assist. Joe Lake tallied a goal in the 39th minute assisted by Omar Jaimes, this goal was the final of the half as the Mustangs lead the Rustlers 5 to 0.

The second half was again kind to the Mustangs in the offensive categories but it also saw the Rustlers come alive and score. The first goal in the second half was from Chris Byers who had received a nice ball from Joe Lake in the 53rd minute. The Rustlers scored the next two goals in the 65th and 71st minute on a back-up defensive unit for the Mustangs. Kyle Howe notched the seven goal for WWCC on a penalty kick in the 74th minute. Omar Jaimes finished the scoring for the Mustangs in the 78th minute on a kick from just inside the 18 yard box. The Rustlers would not quit and scored their third goal with 7 seconds remaining. Oscar Delgado played his first complete game in the goal for the Mustangs and picks up the win. This win improves the Mustangs to 5 wins, 4 losses and 2 ties.
