Zac Roper With Western Again in 2017

Zac Roper from Preston Idaho has again signed a National Letter of Intent to play men's soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.

Zac graduated from Preston High in 2014, he played for WWCC in the fall of 2014 and spring of 2015.  After his freshmen year with the Mustangs he was called to an LDS mission to Chicago IL.  He is expected to be back home to his family in summer of 2017.  Roper will rejoin the Mustangs in August of 2017 to train for the 2017 fall season.

During Roper's first season with Western in 2014 he had; 6 shots, 2 fouls, 1 start and played in 36 Halves.  As a freshmen in the fall season he saw time at many different positions including; forward, outside midfielder, center midfielder and outside back.  The majority of his playing time in the the fall of Zac's freshmen year was as an outside midfielder and an outside back.

Zac continued to improve in the spring semester of his freshman year had notched 2 goals in the spring scrimmages he played in.  Roper also scored 3 goals will playing at the LCCC indoor futsal event.  During his spring semester Zac saw more time as a center midfielder and continued to see time as an outside midfielder and outside defender.

Looking forward to 2017 fall season at Western, we believe Zac will bring a load of maturity to the men's soccer team.  He is an excellent student and should continue on his pursuit of his educational goals and degree.  We think that Zac will be of great use for the Mustangs in the role of center attacking mid or outside midfielder.  However, we know that his skill set will allow him to provide us with depth and talent as a forward and as an outside defender.  Welcome back Zac Roper, Western is so excited to have back such a wonderful person, student and overall soccer player.
