Net-minder Nick Kautzman signs with WWCC

Nick Kautzman from Rock Springs WY and a soon to be RSHS graduate has signed his National Letter of Intent to play collegiate soccer for the Western Wyoming Community College Mustangs.

Nick has been a multi-sport athlete for the Tigers.  He has lettered three times in indoor track and as a member of the RSHS Football team.  Kautzman holds the school record for the 4 x 200 relay.  Along with also excelling in multiple sports at Rock Springs High Nick is also a member of the Student Council and Athletes for Literacy.

Nick will soon be a four year letter winner for Tiger soccer.  As a part of the RSHS Soccer team he was a 4 year starter in the net for the Tigers.  His freshman year he helped the Rock Sprinsg High Soccer team advance to the Wyoming State Soccer Semi-finals.

In 2017 Kautzman was third in 4A Wyoming soccer in saves and was second in 4A Wyoming soccer for goals allowed.  Along with good stats in 2017, Nick was named to the 1st Team Keeper of the 4A West and was a 2nd Team Keeper of 4A Wyoming State Soccer.  Last spring was also a banner year for RSHS soccer as they finished as the 4A West Conference Champions and also won 1st place in the 4A West Regional Tournament.

Nick attended a tryout for Western Wyoming in the fall of 2017.  He showed good shot stopping ability and displayed his athletic ability.

Kautzman joins the strong and proud tradition of WWCC Mustang Keepers.  Nick will join Joe Venhaus as the keepers for the 2018 season for the Mustangs.
