Beamer Wilcken a 2017 graduate from Murray High School in Murray Utah has signed his National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.
Beamer has had a lot of success as a soccer player. Wilcken usually plays as a forward or winger. His junior year he was 4A Honorable Mention for the Deseret News. During the 2016 season, his junior year, he scored 13 goals for Murray High. Both his junior and his senior year Beamer was the leading scorer in all of Region 6. As a senior Beamer's goal total went even higher as he netted 19 goals. Because of this work and the ability to find the back of the net Beamer was named to the 2017 Deseret News 4A Honorable Mention team, the 2017 Salt Lake Tribune 4A 1st Team All State team and the 2017 Salt Lake Tribune All-Tribune Team. Wilcken was the 2nd leading score in all of 4A soccer during his senior year and was 5th in the entire state of Utah during the 2017 season. For his career at Murray High Beamer is credited with 33 goals.

Along with the individual success on the field Beamer helped his teams to also find success. As a member of the Murray High Spartans Beamer was part of Back to Back Region 6 Champs during his junior and senior years. MHS and Beamer advanced to the UHSAA soccer playoffs in both of those years, advancing to the quarterfinals in 2016. During his junior and senior years Beamer and MHS won 29 soccer matches. With his club team Murray SC, Beamer helped them to advance to the quarterfinals in the State Cup for D1 teams. Along with the good State Cup result, Murray SC with Beamer's help finished 5th in the Las Vegas Thanksgiving Classic in the fall of 2017.
Beamer plans on studying Wildlife Biology and would like to pursue a career as a Forest Ranger at a National Park. Since the age of 12, Wilcken has been a licensed falconer in Utah, he was the youngest falconer in the state at the time.
