Nic Kautzman - Sophomore Keeper for WWCC

Nic Kautzman who recently completed his freshman year of his study and play at Western Wyoming has committed to play his sophomore year of soccer for the Mustangs.

Nic came on strong at the end of his freshman year for the Mustangs.  Kautzman took an injury early in the 2018 fall season and his recovery took most of the season.  His stats during his freshman year were 37 Saves, 16 Goals Allowed, 69.8% Save Percentage, 3 Starts, 10 Halves Played, 407 Minutes Played and 1 Shutout.

Kautzman also had a very strong spring season for the Mustangs.  He improved a lot as a keeper and a leader during the many training sessions, futsal sessions, weight lifting and scrimmages.

During the spring scrimmages Nic performed wonderfully and recorded 25 saves in the four contests with a win and a shutout.

Nic has the skills to make the jump to be a consistent starter and leader for the 2019 Mustangs.  Kautzman has quick reflexes and a long reach that could make him one of the best Mustang keepers.

We are excited to welcome back Nic Kautzman for the fall 2019 season.
