Luswin Trujillo a recent graduate from Rock Springs High in Rock Springs WY has decided to stay close to home to continue his academic and athletic career at Western Wyoming Community College.
Luswin comes to WWCC with a very impressive high school resume. His final two years playing for the RSHS Tigers were when he racked up the most stats. As a junior in 2018, Luswin tallied 18 goals and had 9 assists while also being named to the 1st Team 4A West All Conference and 1st Team 4A All State. 2018 is the same year that Luswin helped RSHS win the Sweetwater Cup (rivalry cup with Green River) and qualify for the 4A WHSAA State Tournament. During his final year, spring of 2019, Luswin had 10 goals and 3 assists. For his effort he was named 1st Team 4A West All Conference and 2nd Team 4A All State.
Western believes that Luswin's speed and skills will translate very well to the collegiate game. He should fit in well for the Mustangs as either a forward or a midfielder in the attack. His ability to find the back of the net on a consistent basis will come in handy for a Mustang team with few returning forwards.
We wish the best of luck to Luswin as he begins his Mustang career.
