LCCC Leaves Town with Win and Region IX North

On Friday in Rock Springs with a showdown between the top two teams in the Region IX North Western Wyoming hosted their oldest and most bitter rivals the Laramie County Golden Eagles.

Much like the match in Cheyenne, LCCC took early control of the match and kept the Mustangs on their back foot most of the first half.  LCCC was able to break through and get a shot past the WWCC defense and keeper for the lone score of the day in the 34th minute.  The half time score was 1- 0.

The second half was much more evenly played and saw both teams have chances to score but neither team was going to score as the match ended after 90 minutes with a LCCC 1 - 0 victory.  The victory assures LCCC as the #1 seed in Region IX North and WWCC as the #2 seed from Region IX North.  The loss brings the Mustang record down to 11 - 4 - 3.  It was also the first home loss of the 2015 Mustang season.

Mustang Man of the Match:  Taylor Flitton - had a big assignment to shut down a super speedy forward and still get into the attack.  Taylor did an exceptional job on both ends.
