The scrimmages were broken up into a starter scrimmage for 40 minutes, a reserve scrimmage for 40 minutes, another starter scrimmage for 30 minutes and a reserve scrimmage for 30 minutes.
The first starter scrimmage resulted in a 0 - 0 draw, Westminster showed their talent but WWCC showed resiliency.
The first reserve scrimmage went in favor of Westminster 0 - 3 with Westminster finding holes in the WWCC reserve defense.
The second starter scrimmage resulted in a win for the Mustangs. The final after 30 minutes was 2 - 0. Braden Smith scored both goals, the first coming off of a penalty kick and the second being assisted by Nate Cutler. Austin Pinter again was credited with a shutout on the day, keeping the Griffins off of the board in the 70 minutes that he and the starters played.
The final reserve scrimmage was again in favor of Westminster by a score of 0 - 1. A WWCC highlight would be the PK block by Kyle Mivshek.
Up next this spring is the final scrimmage date for the Mustangs on Saturday April 30th. Western Wyoming is scheduled to scrimmage against Weber State in the early afternoon in Ogden and against the UVU Club team in the evening in Orem. Kick-off times and locations will be announced later.
