Ben Kunz Defender 2016 for WWCC

Photos from Kunz Family
Ben Kunz a 2014 graduate from Evanston High School in Evanston Wyoming, has committed to play college soccer for Western Wyoming Soccer in Rock Springs WY.

While in high school Kunz was an All-Conference soccer player for the Red Devils.  He was a center back for EHS, was a very good high school player.  Ben was also a captain for his high school team during his senior campaign.  He was originally recruited out of high school to play with the Mustangs.  Ben decided to serve an LDS mission right after high school.  While in Washington state on his mission he suffered an ACL injury and tore the Labrum in his shoulder in an accident.  Due to the injuries he was forced to return home early.  Ben was a manager for the team in the 2015 fall season while rehabbing his injuries.

He joined the spring 2016 Mustang Soccer team and did very well.  His bad knee was not to 100% strength but Ben still possesses good speed.  He is a vocal leader on the pitch directing his teammates well.  Off of the pitch he is a leader by example while making smart decisions and doing well in the classroom.

We know that Ben will come to Western this fall in good shape and with a desire to compete and do well for the Red, White and Black.  Ben will most likely be used on the field for the Mustangs as a center back but could see time and be useful for the team as an outside defender or even an outside midfielder.  Ben Kunz welcome to the Mustang Soccer Family, we expect great things out of you.
