Kyle Mivshek Returns in Net for WWCC

Kyle Mivshek, a member of the 2014 Western Wyoming Soccer team, has decided to return and play his sophomore year for Western Wyo Soccer in the fall 2016 campaign.

Mivshek graduated from Pinedale High School in 2013 in Pinedale Wyoming.  He joined the WWCC spring team in 2014 and played for the Mustangs in the 2014 fall season.  Kyle took a year off from the team while still attending Western to get his financial situation more stable and we are happy to have him return.

During the fall 2014 season Kyle's stats were; 47 Saves, 13 Goals Allowed, 78.3% Save Percentage, 7 Starts and 16 Halves Played as a keeper.  He also appeared once as a field player and took 3 shots.  In the fall of 2014 Kyle competed for the starting job at keeper most of the year.  Often going back and forth for starts with Austin Pinter, who just graduated from WWCC.

The spring 2016 season was good for Kyle to get back into soccer shape and to be competing with elite soccer athletes.  The skills that make Mivshek unique from other keepers are; strength, leadership, good hands and aggressiveness.  Kyle is usually the first player in the weight room and the last to leave.  He has set several lift and weight total records for the WWCC soccer team.  His magnetic grin and personality help all of his teammates to respect and love him.  He has very sure hands and rarely drops shots taken on him.  Kyle is a big keeper and when he decides to go get a ball he can intimidate other team's players.

The parts of the keeper skill set that Kyle continues to work on are positioning on angles, continuing to be vocal even in pressure situations and knowing the right time to step and be aggressive.

We welcome Kyle back with open arms and are proud that he will finish his academic journey at Western while playing for the Mustangs.  Good Luck Kyle!
