LCCC Late Surge Buries Western

On Wednesday the Mustangs and their oldest rival faced off in Rock Springs.  The match was very highly contested and heated.  The first half seemed to be very evenly matched until the 43rd minute when the LCCC team found the back door of the goal off of a free kick and scored.  The halftime score was 1 - 0 in favor of the Golden Eagles.
The second half did not go according how the home-standing Mustangs would have liked.  In the 67th minute the Golden Eagles found the backside of the goal again to take a 2 - 0 lead.  The match drastically changed in the 70th minute when the WWCC starting keeper Taylor Bell was red carded for a collision with his own player.  LCCC scored off of the free kick given with the red card and took a 3 - 0 lead.  The Golden Eagles took advantage of the 10 men Mustangs and scored three more goals in the 72nd minute, the 75th minute and the 85th minute.  The final score was a lopsided 6 - 0.  The Mustang's record fell to 7 - 8 - 1 and a 3 - 6 - 1 Region IX record.
