Mustangs Snake Bitten in La Junta

On Saturday in La Junta CO the Mustangs squared off against the Rattlers of Otero Junior College.  Another slow start for the Mustangs doomed them from a chance to fight for a victory.  The Rattlers scored in the 7th, 13th and 15th minute of the match.  The commanding 3 to 0 lead in the first third of the opening half.  The early lead kept the Mustangs at bay and deflated their spirits, but the men wearing red played tough throughout the whole match.
The second half was still dominated by OJC and they added fourth and final goal in the 68th minute when a free kick rebounded off of the post but found a OJC player who knocked it past Taylor Bell.  The final score was 4 - 0 in favor of the Rattlers from OJC.  The Mustang's record is now 7 - 7 - 1 and a 3 - 5 - 1 Region IX record.
