On Monday in Sterling CO for a rescheduled match the Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen hosted the Mustangs from Western Wyoming.  The Mustangs dominated much of the play and possession during the first half.  String many passes together and making the Plainsmen play defense.  The Mustangs were not able to score however in the first 45 minutes even after great chances by DJ Searcy, Bernard Manuel and Raul Cavazos.  The score at the break was 0 - 0.
In the second half it looked like the Mustangs would just simply chip away at the Plainsmen and find a win however a NEJC shot on goal fooled the WWCC goalie, Taylor West and scored in the 52nd minute.  The Mustangs continued to take many chances and shots but were denied by inches, the post and the NEJC keeper.  The final score was 1 - 0 in favor of the Plainsmen.  The loss drops the Mustangs to a 7 - 5 - 1 record and a 3 - 3 - 1 region record.
