Jackson Monk Signs to be a WWCC Mustang

Jackson Monk a soon to graduate senior from Hillcrest High in Ammon Idaho has recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play collegiate soccer at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs WY.

Jackson is a defender who generally plays as a center back.  He caught Western Wyoming's attention through some of his video clips from high school.  During the winter he came to campus in Rock Springs and cemented his decision to commit to WWCC.

Monk was a captain for Hillcrest High during his senior campaign.  While playing for the HHS Knights Jackson was a three time varsity letter-man and started those three years for the varsity Knights.

While playing for Hillcrest, Jackson was selected for 1st team All Conference, 1st team All Area, and 1st team All Region.  Along with the on the field accolades Jackson has taken care of his responsibilities as a student. He has maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout high school.

Besides individual success Jackson has helped his team do very well on the field.  At Hillcrest High he helped the team achieve 2016 and 2017 District Champions and a 3rd place finish at the 5A Idaho State Tournament in 2017.

Jackson possesses great speed along with the soccer skills to play at the NJCAA level.  Monk is also a member of the Hillcrest High track team.

Monk also played club soccer for Fusion FC.  As a member of Fusion FC he has played, placed, and won numerous tournaments over the last 6 years.

WWCC is so excited to welcome this fine young man and know he can help us as we will be graduating our starting center backs from 2017, Danny Becerra and Matthew Ochoa.  Congrats to Jackson as we know he will be a great representative of the Western Wyoming Soccer program.
